What Is Child Labour?
Child labour is the employment of children in work that creates a barrier for the children from their childhood and stops their ability to go to school regularly. The work is almost always mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous. This practice of getting children to work is considered exploitative by most organisations. The children can be as young as 5 years old, or as old as 15 years old. Child labour has been present in businesses and corporations since the late 1800s and early 1900s. This was the Victorian Era, and when non-child-labour organisations started to form. Since then, child labour organisations, such as Free the Children, see below, have spent millions, along with thousands of volunteers, working hard to abolish child labour, believing it's very wrong; Just like us!
