What People Do That Can Positively and Negatively Affect Child Labour
Positively
We can positively affect child labour by donating to non-child labour activists and organisations, such as Oxfam (www.oxfam.org.nz).
We can also positively affect child labour by not buying products and goods that support child labour (such as Dole bananas, Victoria's Secret underwear, Nike shoes and Apple technology). Boycotting these companies will free the working children! Other companies like Fair trade are the ones you should buy - they are completely labour-free!
Another way that we can positively affect child labour is by supporting organisations that fight against child labour. One way is participating in their event days. You can get involved by doing the 40 hour famine every year, and if you live in North America, participate in the We Days (run by Free the Children)! They'll be on late 2013. Even if you don't live in America, there are still HEAPS of events you can go to to support child labour; just ask Google!

Negatively
Us, as consumers, fuel child labour, by purchasing the products these children make. This way, we are negatively affecting child labour, most of the time not even realizing it.
